No Mor? / Ingen Mor?

Don't know how well you're following this "world whisky" scene? But there is a distillery 'en Bretagne' worth following (whiskyfun.com). There is quite a strong Celtic history in Bretagne so of course there should be a whisky distillery - namely Glann ar Mor.

Late autumn last year there was the first official release (to my knowledge) of a bottled cask. A unpeated version from a bourbon cask giving 305 bottles. Whisky is large 'en France' and of course "their own" whisky would be of great interest. So no doubt it sold out right away. 

But a interesting thing is that mentioned on the page there is a few cases of bottles heading for Sweden. So line up and wait for the day of release. Pity I have no clue when it will be released - it should have been already I guess, but no - and I have no clue who is the representative in Sweden (update: Now I do). So I guess all we can do is to eagerly wait, and hope that it wouldn't end up solely in restaurants (update 2: It looks like it will, though one can still buy a bottle as private).

But now you have been warned. And this autumn a few other casks will be botteled. Among them a cask of peated Glann ar Mor.

Vet inte hur väl du följer "världswhisky" -scenen? Men det finns ett destilleri i Bretagne som det varit värt att följa (whiskyfun.com). Det finns en stark keltisk historia i Bretagne så givetvis ska det finnas ett destilleri - nämligen Glann ar Mor.

Sent på hösten förlidet år så var första officiella släppet (mig veterligen) av ett buteljerat fat. En orökt version från ett bourbonfat som gav 305 flaskor. Whisky är populärt i Frankrike så givetvis är "deras egen" whisky intressant. Inte undra på den sålde slut på studs.

Men en intressant sak är att på sidan nämns att några flaskor är på väg till Sverige. Så ställ dig i kö och vänta på datum för släpp.  Tyvärr har jag inte en susning om när de kommer släppas - de borde ha varit det redan, men icke - och jag vet inte vem som är representant i Sverige (uppdatering: Nu vet jag). Så jag tror allt vi kan göra är att vänta spänt, och hoppas att det allt hamnar på restauranger (uppdatering 2: Verkar tyvärr så, men det går alltjämt köpa en flaska som privatperson).

Men nu har du blivit förvarnad. Och till hösten kommer det buteljeras ytterligare några fat. Bland dessa fat med rökt Glann ar Mor.
